This stately tree’s nicknames include the Buddhist Pine and the Chinese Yew. They are a type of evergreen and can also be found as shrubs. Their average height gets to be around 30 to 40 feet, but for bonsais they are usually right around 12 or 14. They grow extremely dense foliage which is dark green, which is similar to that of a Pine tree. The bark and trunk formations can take years to train because of their slow growth rate and for this reason are not recommended to people who have little patience. However, because they take so long to perfect they can be great joy to have around for the person who enjoys endeavors.
