You don't typically associate sex appeal with crocheting, until this honey bunny came along.

Crochet may not seem like a sexy past-time, but designer Jenny King is sexing up the hobby by creating skimpy g-strings, bikinis, hotpants and even jewellery.

The crafty Queenslander started crocheting as a teenager in the 1970s, when crocheted bikinis graced the covers of every fashion magazine.

She is in Tasmania to share some of her secrets as part of the Craft & Quilt Fair at the Derwent Entertainment Centre this weekend.

The 47-year-old is keen to dispel the myth that crocheting is just for grannies.
