Ellen Warwick’s favourite memories of her preteen years revolve around two simple things – a bottle of glue and her trusty children-friendly scissors.

The Dufferin St. and St. Clair Ave. author is a self-proclaimed craft addict whose best years were spent in her bedroom turning used items into precious treasures.

And with a new book series, the 37-year-old is passing on that love.

Her recently released book, Injeanuity, is the first title in the Kids Can Press Planet Girl series of books created for girls aged 10 to 14 to learn how to explore their own style and creativity through Do-It-Yourself crafts.
