The National Library for Health Complementary and Alternative Medicine Specialist Library (NeLCAM) will be launched at the Royal London Homoeopathic Hospital on Monday, 15th May 2006. The library will be available via http://www.library.nhs.uk/cam after this date.

NeLCAM is one of the 24 Specialist Libraries which are an integral part of the National Library for Health (NLH), a library and information service for the NHS, aiming to deliver a range of services on a 24 hour basis to support patient care, staff development and research.
Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) is a controversial area, but interest and use by NHS health professionals is increasing rapidly. NeLCAM aims to provide access to the best available evidence in the field of CAM.
Although the content of the library is intended primarily for health professionals and CAM practitioners and researchers, most of the information is also accessible by patients and careers.
