The diverse geographical features all through Alaska have a significant effect on its climate. In coastal areas, the summer heat raises temperatures to an average of somewhere between 75 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit with extreme temperatures being around 90 degrees Fahrenheit. In winter the lack of sunshine leads to lower temperatures, like 50 below zero Fahrenheit, and sometimes even colder. Be prepared for your fishing vacation by checking weather conditions before your trip and by taking appropriate gear and clothing.
