A company or business, whether large or small, could benefit from a Media Buyer. If the company or business is wanting to promote a service or product to a target audience at the lowest possible cost to themselves, they would benefit from the services of a Media Buyer. The Media Buyer is trained to find the best type of media in which to advertise to the target audience, and to find it at the lowest price to the company or business that is promoting the product or service. Suppose that a business or company wishes to promote a new beauty product for women. The best places to advertise this product would be places such as magazines for women or possibly on a television channel that women frequently watch. Another example, say a business wants to promote a new service they have for elderly citizens. The best place to promote the service would be the newspaper or a mail-out flyer. Media Buyers are skilled in finding the best way to reach a target audience. The company or business could also benefit from the connections that the Media Buyer, if they have been working a significant amount of time, has made in the past. These connections could result in the company or business getting a price that they themselves would not have been able to obtain.
