Your company logo is your identity. It is the picture of everything you do and everything you are as a company. When people think of you, that is the picture they will see in their mind. Consider McDonalds, Coca-Cola, and Nike. Each one of these names brings a visual image to your mind. What picture do you want people to have when they think of your business?

The company logo will appear on every printed article associated with your business, from stationery to parking permits for employee cars, and is often the first impression a person has of you or your company. You want that impression to be a good one.

A logo should also be accurate. Your logo design should present a clear picture of your company and what you do. So that people will remember your company after this initial impression, your logo design should be unique and make a visual impact.

What defines your business and makes it different from your competitors? Use that difference in your logo design to set you apart from the rest. While you’re brainstorming what you want your logo to be, keep in mind that this corporate identity will stay with you for years, so choose something that’s enduring and pleasing to you.

Your logo design will communicate to everyone who sees it, so choose carefully what it will say. Will it be trendy or traditional? A law office might prefer a traditional logo design while a tattoo parlor might prefer something trendy or evocative. A plumber might want to convey an image of dependability and reliable service while a restaurant might prefer a logo design that conveys fun and entertainment.
