Your logo design reminds people of who you are and what you do. This design will stay with you for years, perhaps all the years that you are in business. Building a corporate image by incorporating an honest representation of what you do will remind customers of your business every time they see your logo.

Once you’ve settled on a logo design, leave it alone. Use it as much as you can, make it larger or smaller, but don’t change it. It’s important that your logo look good in both large and small settings, so have a professional scale it to several sizes and ask their opinion about placing it on the really large items like billboards.

The other basic consideration of logo design is that if you use color in your logo, make sure it also looks good in black in white. When you fax or photo copy it, does it still make the same impression?

When deciding on a logo design, focus on what you want your logo to convey. Use your logo design to highlight the benefit of choosing your business over a competitor. That might sound like a lot to expect from a logo, but your company image is at stake and it will say something…make sure it says what you want it to say. Your logo design advertises what you do and how well you do it. Take your time and choose a design that’s everything your business can be.
