Spammers: Worst Marketers in History?

In a recent poll conducted by Mankind, the Associate Press concluded that most marketing experts agree - Email spam is the worst marketing ploy in the history of human civilization.
Wasting millions of dollars and time in bandwidth on the thin hope that some poor sod will be duped into believing that an unsolicited email is the best way to refinance his mortgage or enhance his virility, spammers have spent the past several years annoying internet users the world over. Every day email users must perform the maddening task of culling through their inboxes and deleting 90% of it - which consists of mean-spirited swindles and ads for the grossest pornography imaginable, all because spammers can think of no greater means of supporting themselves than by harrassing the entire planet.
Federal judges are already drafting a law that, should any actual spammer be caught, his or her person will be executed by lethal dosage of roundhouse kicks and then bodily processed into actual Spam.
