The quest of finding the best camping spot in the United States is a daunting task when looking forward to any vacation. But the good news in this search is that the United States is overflowing with great spots to go camping that you will not be at a shortage of finding an incredible experience in many of the regional areas in the United States. There are some things that you need to consider before choosing your area to go camping and having these questions answered ahead of time will allow you to choose your location much easier. The first question is when are you going? You may not want to choose Alaska in the winter and Florida in July for your camping experience for obvious reasons, unless you are an extreme camper. Also you need to look at what you want to do aside from sleeping outside and that may be something else; do you want to sleep in a tent, a cabin, or are you taking an RV? These questions and many more that you can probably logically think of will guide your decision on where to go.

There are a plethora of choices on where to go when deciding on a US camping trip, but two places jump to most campers' minds immediately - the areas that are around the Smoky Mountains and the around the Rockies. These two locations are prime areas for doing all sorts of outdoor activities and should be first on the list of many campers. Another area to look at is Southern camping, and to be even more specific, camping in Florida. The fourth area to consider, though this may be impossible, is everywhere else. There are so many places all over the country and you should at least briefly hear about each of the other places as well.
