If you are a person who simply wants to take a ride on a balloon, the cost will vary based on the place you are and the Ballooning company with which you choose to ride. However, the price can range anywhere from $250 to $400 for a ride that lasts approximately 1-2 hours. If Ballooning is a sport that you are interested in taking up as a hobby or activity, the price is a little more expensive because of equipment costs, as well as costs of trips. The cost of a brand new quality balloon is around $35,000. This price does not include the price of insurance for the balloon, fuel, training costs for the pilot, etc. However, despite the costs, most that are in the sport of Ballooning will be quick to tell you that it is well worth the expense. And those who have taken a one time ride will also tell the same story. It was an incredible experience and totally worth the time and money spent.
