Everyone is looking for a little extra thrill and excitement in their lives. It just depends on how much a person is looking for. In the camping world - the range of Adventure camping can go so far as incorporating extreme sports into your camping activities or just lighting the fire for a family with four children. For the sake of argument, this section of beginner's guide will swing more towards the more extreme sections of adventure camping. But adventure camping doesn't necessarily have to place yourselves in danger or possible death. Adventure camping is simply go above and beyond the normal camping activities to a level of excitement that most people do not enjoy on a daily basis.

There are four basic sections that can be incorporated into Adventure camping. The first is geographical location. While the backyard may be quite an adventure for a nine-year old, the more experienced camper may be looking for something a little more exotic than the campsite down the street. The next two sections of adventure camping deal with the activities that can be added to camping trips. The first of these two are land activities and the second are water activities. These two will spell out the different sorts of things that the adventure camper can enjoy while "roughing it." The fourth category in adventure camping is where you are going to stay - we are not talking about the difference between 3 or 4 star hotels, but the difference between staying in a campsite against going off the beaten path to find your own campsite nestled among nature.
