When I first look at this section of camping it makes me think of what kind of tent I could stay in and that is part of this section. Most weekend camping trips with the family involve a huge two-room tent with windows and possibly a screened in porch. For adventure camping, that kind of tent probably won't work. You will probably get a tent that is small and low - not to mention easily put together so that you can enjoy the most out of your day and not spend a lot of time taking it down each day. Most adventure camping trips will not have the same campsite each night so portability is the must. Also you may decide, because of weather and terrain to not bring a tent. This kind of camping is popular among hikers so that they can simply lie under the moon and stars all night long.

Adventure camping will also lead the campers away from typical campsites into off country camping. During this time you will need to seriously think about finding a good location, as well as packing food properly. This is one of the most important things when camping off the beaten path. Food will attract many animals for visitors, some that you really don't want to see close to you. Make sure your food and waste are properly sealed.
