Camping is getting in touch with nature and allowing your body to slow down from the world's daily grind. But allowing your body to slow down may involve speeding up the heart rate by doing some crazy and exciting activities out in the wilderness. There are three areas of excitement - low, medium, and high that campers can pick from different activities for. The low impact activities can be a day hike or engaging in wildlife watching. These activities are definitely low on the most people's heart rate and can even be enjoyed by younger and older members of the family. The medium activities may be a longer hike or mountain biking. Hiking and biking have both become extremely enticing for many people that love the outdoors. The only thing is that both of these activities require a bit of an investment for the equipment needed to truly enjoy them. You don't want to try hiking 20 miles in a day with your normal backpack with all of your equipment inside of it. So look at what you want to do and then invest in proper equipment.
The high intensity activities are truly for the more extreme campers. This involves possible big game hunting. Maine and Alaska are allowing hunters to go after big game that you won't find in your typical forests. Also campers may decide to do rock climbing or base-jumping. Both of these activities require quite a bit of training, equipment, and nerve. These are activities that will definitely pump up the heart rate for the adventure camper.
